City Liaison – John Murphy

The purpose of this activity is to create a channel of communication between the City and the Homes Association.  Open communication enables the association to collaborate with the city to enforce applicable codes; to convey homeowners’ views on pending legislation, zoning changes and other municipal issues; and to insure that neighborhood needs are considered – fully and fairly.

The city liaison remains informed about city ordinances and legislation to solicit support for or rally opposition to new policies that affect homeowners.  The city liaison attends meetings of the city planning commission to inform homeowners of potential changes within their community.  The liaison receives mailings from the city and when appropriate, relays that information to the Board and/or membership of the association.
